Another ministry of St. John's is Boy Scout Troop 406. Every Monday, more than 50 youth and adult scouters meet at our church for educational and instructional activities, service and fun. Scouts range in age from 11 years up to 18 years, and the various programs focus on citizenship, life skills and ethical and moral foundations. Troop 406 sponsors monthly campouts as well as attending summer camp and participating in High Adventure programs such as backpacking at Philmont in Northern New Mexico or sailing at Florida Sea Base. The troop is open to both members and non-members of St. John's.
