There is a class for everyone at St. John’s. All classes enthusiastically welcome guests and new members.
Aldersgate (Room 122) gathers as a group in an environment designed to build connection and spiritual growth among fellow members. This community is intentional in both personal relationships and studies, engaging in group discussions eachweek that focus on a variety of topics.
Animus ? Koinonia (Room 227) members spend the first few minutes of class catching up with one another before discussing the lesson of the day. The class enjoys studying awide variety of faith-based, spiritual, and religious topics, typicallyreading and discussing books, and occasionally incorporating podcasts. There’s no pressure, though! You are welcome whether you are following assignments or not! There’s always room for discussion and sharing, or feel free to just come and listen in. The class is ever-changing, and welcomes allages and stages of life, from college-aged up. And if you have a baby whois not in the mood to visit the nursery, bring them too!
Shepherd (Room 116) is a group of all ages and backgrounds who invite others to join in the conversation. The class engages in a close study of Biblical texts and encourages the sharing of diverse viewpoints. For those preventedfrom in-person participation by distance or other circumstances, access via Zoom is made available. Founded by Ted Dotts, Shepherds Class aims to empower its members to live a blessed life.
Sine Nomine (Room 112) is a new Sunday School group formed in early 2023. “Journey” refers toa process of movement from that which may be familiar to a destination that may not be anticipated. For our class, “Journey” suggests we travel to new and transformative understandings of our faith. Indeed, questions, doubts, and yearnings will accompany us but not without hope, openness, andgratitude.
